Meet the Directors

Amy Moss- Director of Choirs; Elementary Music & Secondary Vocal District Coordinator
Mrs. Moss is currently in her 17th year of teaching and her 7th year at Frenship High School. She is a proud graduate of Wayland Baptist University and Texas Tech University. She holds a Bachelor of Music degree in Choral Studies from WBU, Summa Cum Laude, and a Master of Music Education and a Master of Music in Choral Conducting from TTU. She loves being a student as well as being a teacher!
Mrs. Moss is a member of Texas Music Educators Association, Texas Choral Directors Association, American Choral Directors Association, and Texas Music Adjudicators Association. Under her direction, Frenship High School Varsity Chorale performed as a featured honor choir at the 2022 Texas Music Educators Association Convention, making school history.
Mrs. Moss currently resides in Lubbock, TX with her husband. James, her standard poodle, Gertrude, and her cat, Hildegarde Von Bingen. She enjoys traveling with her husband and working out with her sister.

Alex Hardin- Assistant Choir Director
Mr. Hardin is a graduate of Texas Tech University where he graduated Cum Laude with a Bachelor’s degree in Music Education. He has been teaching for nine years and is in his third year with Frenship. He had the pleasure of student teaching at FHS in 2014, and is so glad to be a Frenship Tiger again! Mr. Hardin lives in Lubbock with his wife, Brittney, their newborn daughter, Grace, and their three cats, Arya, Graham, and Aristotle. He enjoys traveling with his wife, singing in his church’s choir, playing video games, and collecting sneakers. He is so thankful to be able to serve in the ministry of music education alongside the talented members of the FISD choral staff.

Emily Chavez- Assistant Choir Director
Emily Chavez was born and raised right here in Lubbock, TX. She loves being a Frenship Tiger once more!
This is Mrs. Chavez's 8th year of teaching and 2nd year to be a Tiger! Prior to her appointment at Frenship, she was the associate high school director in Marble Falls, TX. There she had the opportunity to help direct musicals, one act play, and many concerts.
Mrs. Chavez graduated from Lubbock Christian University in 2016 with her Bachelor of Arts in Music Education. During her time at LCU, she performed in the Praise Choir, Chamber Singers, and select ensemble Best Friends.
In her spare time, Mrs. Chavez, enjoys traveling to national parks, photography, going to Broadway shows, and helping with her husband's youth group. She also loves every chance she gets to spend with her husband, friends, and family.
